Testing methods performed in ICR are focused on the investigation of particular degradation mechanisms occurring in industrial products during application. According to decreasing failure rates especially of electronic devices, application of conventional testing methods leads to time consuming procedures exceeding in several cases the overall product development time. As a consequence from this, product quality must be incorporated within product processing and development.
This requires the profound knowledge and quality inspection of all product components.
Determination of reliability for materials, electronic components as well as composite materials performed in ICR means not only to analyse materials parameter. Using the combination of theoretical and experimental investigations together with statistical analysis of recorded material data the effects of thermal, chemical and mechanical loads on the long term behaviour are also shown.
